Is there any chance of BPA exposure due to plastic packaging?

Follow

Your right there are many challenges in ensuring we raise our kids on both a healthy and safe diet, while minimising the impact on our environment.  We feel the most important of these challenges is to provide a varied diet of nutrient dense low acid foods that are microbiological safe and free from impurities such as BPA’s and heavy metals.  Therefore our Go Well products are predominately low acid foods (apart from our fruit range), microbiological safe and packaged in BPA free plastic pouches.  While glass provides significant advantages with recycling, its environmental foot print and risk of glass shard contamination is significant.  Most glassed baby food relys on high acidity or excessive high temperature retort cooking to make them microbiologically safe.  A process we don’t consider best for baby.  In the future we intend to develop more recyclable food safe packaging systems, but feel our packaging and innovative minimally cooked safe nutrient dense food is currently best practice.  There is no perfect answers to the challenges, but rest assured we are prioritising your baby’s health and safety.
